Los Angeles, CA — “The welterweight division of women boxing hasn’t seen a fighter like Holly “Lil Bear” Lawson in a long time” says her trainer Eric Brown of Wildcard Gym, owned by legendary Freddy Roach. After winning 2010 California Golden Gloves Championship, Lawson trains six days a week, twice a day, devoting all her time and energy towards one goal-becoming the next female boxer World Champion.
Tomorrow, February 10th, Holly “Lil Bear” Lawson takes her skills to the ring in a bout with Bridgette Ruiz from New Mexico. Friday’s fight is equally important for the future of both boxers: “I’ve been preparing myself for it for quite a bit, training camp went very well. I feel strong and ready” says Lawson 24 hours prior to the fight.
